The store is called Kogai, coming from the name of the historical name of the area in which it resides. Kogai also refered to a type of hairpin for women that was made by skillful metalworkers. The store carries much of our copperware, but also carries a carefully curated selection of woodwork, textiles, ceramics, glassware, and metalwork from 12 makers from all over Japan.<\/p>\n<p>In a comfortable atmosphere surrounded by crafts, we hope you come to immerse in the space. You can come to chat or even just sit quietly and look.
