On Sunday March 10th we opened a brand new new store in a quiet residential area in Tokyo about a 10 minute walk from Omotesando Station. The store is called Kogai, coming from the name of the historical name of the area in which it resides. Kogai also refered to a type of hairpin for women that was made by skillful metalworkers. The store carries much of our copperware, but also carries a carefully curated selection of woodwork, textiles, ceramics, glassware, and metalwork from 12 makers from all over Japan.

In a comfortable atmosphere surrounded by crafts, we hope you come to immerse in the space. You can come to chat or even just sit quietly and look. With or without an appointment, feel free to come by even on a whim.

If you’re out for a walk on a nice day, please do stop by.
